We’re so excited to put a spotlight on immigrants, who continue to make this country run despite everything working against us. Wednesday, April 1 – Day-Long Censoton with Entravision

We will be hosting a day-long Censoton with our partners from Entravision, where they will be promoting our bilingual 877-EL-CENSO hotline extensively throughout the day. Hence, our hotline will be fully staffed with close to 30 live operators taking Census related calls.

Wednesday, April 1 at 10 AM EST – Virtual National Press Club Newsmaker with Fair Count Founder Stacey Abrams

Former Georgia House Democratic Leader and Founder of Fair Fight and Fair Count Stacey Abrams will join National Press Club President Michael Freedman on Census Day for a virtual discussion on the historical significance of the Census, and her quest to ensure that every American is counted in 2020.  

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Abrams will join us remotely from her offices in Georgia via Zoom. This 1-hour program will stream live at 10AM ET at www.press.org and on the NPC’s YouTube Channel, and is free and accessible to both the media and members of the general public. Viewers are invited to submit their questions in advance or during the livestream by emailing their queries to [email protected] with the subject line “CENSUS.” Our moderator will ask as many questions as time allows.

Census Counts is hosting its ultimate virtual train-the-trainer for census (3 hours). The Leadership Conference, State Voices, and NALEO Educational Fund will provide a comprehensive train-the-trainer on census operations, get out the count outreach, digital tools, and messaging for the census. Arkansas Counts partners are leading the charge — largely online, by text and phone banking, and via traditional media in light of the COVID-19 pandemic — to ensure a complete and accurate count of all Arkansans using the hashtags #ARCounts and “tell #20for2020.” Arkansas Counts will gather and amplify partners’ outreach via its website, Facebook page @ARcensus2020, and on Twitter @ar_census to Get Out the Count and encourage ALL Arkansans to do their part.
