Your resource for information and actions you can take to engage in the 2020 Census. Census Champions is for state, local and tribal elected and appointed officials committed to a fair and accurate count everywhere, especially in hard-to-count communities.

WHY?

Elected officials have a major role to play in the upcoming 2020 Census, and a lot is at stake. Census data are used to determine the allocation of more than $800 billion dollars annually in federal funding for social services, schools, infrastructure, and many more vital services.

WHEN?

NOW! We only have one chance every 10 years to get the count right. This is the time to get involved. The census counts. And so does your community.
